The Danish Environmental Economic Conference
Registration for The Danish Environmental Economic Conference is now open.
The Secretariat of The Danish Economic Councils host the 17th annual environmental conference for anyone with an interest in environmental economics and policy at Kurhotel Skodsborg on 22nd and 23rd of August 2024.
This year's conference offers the following presentations:
- Keynote: Professor Clive L. Spash, University of Vienna, within the topic of Ecological economics
- Evening speaker: Professor Michael Bang Petersen within the subject of Crisis awareness in relation to the green transition
In addition, the conference offers parallel session with presentations of the participants' own work as well as two special sessions with panel debates on Biodiversity and the economy and The green transition and fiscal sustainability.

Purpose of the conference
To create an overview of the current policy relevant environmental economic knowledge.
- To contribute to a well-informed political and scientific discussion in the area of environmental economics and policy.
- To bridge the gap between various subject areas and among researchers, practicians, and others.
- To inspire the national environmental economic community through presentations by international experts.
Target audience
Researchers, students, politicians, government employees, consultants, NGO's. Economists as well as non-economists.
