Effekten af aktivering på køn,alder, uddannelsesniveau, regioner og ledighedstidspunkt

Abstract:

The paper analyses the threat effects of active labor market programs on the probability of unemployed workers getting employed. The effects are found for different subgroups of the unemployed worker, such as gender, age, level of education, region and date of unemployment. The threat effects are estimated by a duration model on a very detailed administrative dataset for people who enter unemployment in the period 2001-05 and have a full period of unemployment benefits left. On average the period of unemployment is reduced by eight days by the prospect of an active labor market program. The period of unemployment is reduced especially for men, older unemployed worker, unemployed worker with a basic or a vocational education and persons who live in the region Copenhagen or the region Zealand.
